Organised Crime 3.0

Systematic and comprehensive analysis and prospects for combating organised crime in Germany

Organised crime is an important topic in German and European criminal policy and public discourse. However, with the development of new technologies, the establishment of new markets, and a wide range of social and legal changes, organised crime is subject to constant change, which requires an equally flexible and up-to-date response from law enforcement agencies. The aim of a new research project at the University of Osnabrück is to gain a comprehensive and, in particular, legal understanding of the phenomenon of "Organised Crime 3.0", to analyze its structures and potential threats and to develop strategies for prevention and repression.
